Authority for Decision: Council’s Constitution and Delegation Scheme Managing Director and Head of Paid Service delegation number 1.29 in the Council’s Scheme of Delegation as approved at Annual Council in May 2023. 1.29 Following consultation with Licensing Section, Legal Services and the Chair of Licensing Committee, to suspend or revoke any Private Hire or Hackney Carriage Driver, Vehicle or Operator Licence in such circumstances where it would be appropriate to refer the matter to Licensing Committee for consideration. Where permitted by law, this may be with immediate effect on the grounds of public safety. NB Please note the revocation report wrongly quoted the delegated power as 10.30.
