Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulation 5 and 10 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 that reports containing Exempt information will be considered by Cabinet, at its meeting on Thursday 29 June 2023. Notification of this Exempt Decision was not published on the Council’s website 28 clear days before it was due to be considered by Cabinet, as is required by these regulations.

Purpose of the Report

Housing at North Wingfield (Whiteleas) Development

           Following on from a viability assessment, Cabinet will be asked to agree a change to the mix of tenure types on the Whiteleas Development in North Wingfield by providing additional affordable rent properties and fewer open market sales properties. 

Reason for urgency:

           Action is required to alter the profile of the development as the current economic and housing market conditions present a real risk to the viability of the Development, as currently constituted.

Compliance with the requirement to give 28 clear days’ notice in accordance with the above Regulation is impracticable as the matter is urgent and cannot reasonably be deferred.

This report is exempt and it is proposed that it be considered in private to avoid the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 3  and 5 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006).

The Chair of the Communities Scrutiny Committee has been informed of the Decision to be taken in respect of the exempt report at the above meeting of Cabinet.
