1. The sale of land and property known as land
east of 15 Pingle Road Killamarsh S21 1JE (as shown edged red on
the attached plan).
The site extends to some 266 square metres is hard surfaced and
slopes up from Pingle Road. The site has been used for informal car
parking. There is a public right of way along the north and east
boundaries of the site.
The land was purchased under the Housing Acts 1980 and 1985 ad is
held under the Housing Revenue Account. The land is not being used
for housing provision, it is currently being use as an informal
parking space and surplus to Council requirements. As the land is
vacant and to be sold at market value it can be disposed of under
S.32 of the Housing Act 1985.
The Council’s approved RICS registered Auction provider,
Eddisons, has advised that the property should be marketed at
£25,000 plus. The Director of Estates, Property and Assets to
be given delegated authority to set a reserve price prior closer to
the auction date. This should ensure that the Council meets its
legal obligations in respect of section 123 Local Government Act
1972. The terms of the contract with the Auctioneer provide for a
1% Buyers Premium fee (subject to a minimum of £1500 plus
vat) be charged on any sale.
