Committee details

The Council’s Audit Committee provides oversight of a range of core governance and accountability arrangements and ensures that robust arrangements are maintained.  Its responsibilities include:

·       Considering the effectiveness of the Council’s Risk Management Arrangements

·       Monitoring the effectiveness of the system of internal control, including arrangements for ensuring Value for Money

·       Considering the audit arrangements in place to secure adequate assurance across all operations.
