CCTV Exception Report - Mr C-D - Chesterfield

To consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

Minutes:

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

 

RESOLVED - Grant the exception from the requirement of installing CCTV in the licenced vehicle which is being used for pre-booked contracted prestige or exclusive transportation. This is subject to within 6 months of this decision notice, evidence of such services being undertaken to be provided and audited and will be considered by the Legal Team, Licensing Manager, and the Chair.

To consider whether a licence holder remains a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

(Paragraph 1)

Minutes:

The applicant was not present at the meeting, but the Licensing officers present confirmed that the applicant was satisfied with the Sub Committee making a decision in their absence.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider if the applicant remains a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

 

RESOLVED – Refuse the application on the grounds that the Applicant does not remain fit and proper to hold a private hire vehicle driver’s licence and this should be revoked.
