RESOLVED – That Councillor Carol Lacey be elected Chair for this meeting of the General Licensing Sub-Committee.

“That the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 & 3, Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

To consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

RESOLVED - Grant the exception for any vehicle operated by the applicant with a plate exemption, on the condition that within 6 weeks, Derbyshire County Council can provide written confirmation that the 3 people the applicant claims they will transport are part of Derbyshire County Council’s policy.

To consider any other matter which the Chair of the Sub-Committee is of the opinion should be considered as a matter of urgency.
