RESOLVED – that Councillor Carol Lacey be elected Chair for the meeting.

Members are requested to declare the existence and nature of any disclosable pecuniary interests and/or other interests, not already on their register of interests, in any item on the agenda and withdraw from the meeting at the appropriate time.

There were no declarations of interest.

To consider any other matter which the chair of the Sub-Committee is of the opinion should be considered as a matter of urgency.

The Chair to Move:-

“That the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether a licence holder remains a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

The applicant was given the opportunity to present their case and ask questions.

RESOLVED – Revokethe driver’s Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver Licence with immediate effect.

To consider any other matter which the Chair of the Sub-Committee is of the opinion should be considered as a matter of urgency.
