Minutes:

RESOLVED – that Councillor Carol Lacey be elected Chair for the meeting.

Exclusion of Public

The Chair to Move:-

 

“That the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006)”.

RESOLVED – that the public be excluded from the meeting during the discussion of the following items of business to avoid the disclosure to them of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1, Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to Information) (Variation) Order 2006).

Report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing) - Mr I, Sheffield

To consider whether an applicant is ‘fit and proper’ to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence.

Minutes:

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether the applicant was a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

 

The applicant was given the opportunity to present their case and ask questions.

 

RESOLVED – That a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence be granted subject to an initial six-month CCTV review period.

Report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing) - Mr C, Chesterfield

To consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

 

The applicant was given the opportunity to present their case and ask questions.

 

RESOLVED – That a three-month interim exception be granted, and after such time the applicant should produce evidence that bookings were pre-booked private clients only.  If sufficient evidence was provided then a full exemption from the requirement to have CCTV installed in the licensed vehicle be granted.
