RESOLVED – That Councillor Carol Lacey be elected Chair for this meeting of the General Licensing Sub-Committee.

Minutes:

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider if the applicant remains a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

 

RESOLVED Refuse the application.

To consider whether a licence holder remains a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

(Paragraph 1)

Minutes:

The applicant was not present at the meeting. Licensing officers presented evidence of the applicant having to undertake air travel because of a personal emergency, which was why they were unable to attend.

 

The panel wished to give the applicant a further opportunity to attend for their case, and agreed to defer consideration of the application to the next General Licensing Sub Committee hearing.

 

RESOLVED That the case of Mr K R be deferred to the next General Licensing Sub Committee hearing.
