RESOLVED – That Councillor Carol Lacey be elected Chair for this meeting of the General Licensing Sub-Committee.

Mr K, Sheffield - Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver's Licence Application

To consider whether an applicant is ‘Fit and Proper’ to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence – Mr K – Sheffield

 

Minutes:

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether the applicant was a ‘Fit and Proper’ person to hold a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Vehicle Driver’s Licence with North East Derbyshire District Council.

 

RESOLVED – That the decision of the Licensing Sub-Committee (in exercise of its powers delegated by North East Derbyshire District Council as a Licensing Authority) was to:

 

1.               Grant the licence on condition that evidence was provided confirming that the DBS check contained an error.

Mr B, North Wingfield - CCTV Exemption Report

To consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

The applicant was not present at the meeting. The Sub Committee moved and seconded an adjournment to reconvene on 12 June 2023.

 

RESOLVED – That the General Licensing Sub Committee meeting reconvene on 12 June 2023.

Mr B - North Wingfield - CCTV Exemption Report (Reconvened 12 June 2023)

Minutes:

The applicant was present at the meeting and confirmed receipt of the report and procedure to be followed at the meeting.

 

The Sub-Committee considered the report of the Environmental Health Team Manager (Licensing). The purpose of the report was to consider whether to grant an exception from complying with the requirements of the Taxi Licensing Policy: Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicle (CCTV Supplement).

 

RESOLVED - Grant the exception for any vehicle/s operated by the applicant with a plate exemption, subject to evidence being provided to the Council (to be considered by the Licensing Manager and the Chair) that the applicant’s business is 100% Executive/Corporate contracted work.
