To approve the letting of the lock-up shop Unit 2 Southgate, Eckington on a standard 3 year lease for commercial property to Mr Darren Wilson - Trading as "Wide Open Bikes" for the retail sale of cycles, cycle accessories, cycle repairs and servicing.

Reasons for the decision:

The proposed letting of Lock-Up Shop Unit 2, Southgate, Eckington S21 4FT in order to maintain the current income streams.

Alternative options considered:

A second application for the use of the unit as an exercise studio and beauticians - it was felt that this use was of a similar nature to the existing users on the site and the introduction of another service based business would detract from a retail focus for the site.
