Decision:
To designate the Wingerworth Neighbourhood
Area as a neighbourhood area for the purposes of section 61G(1) of
the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 as amended which was
requested by Wingerworth Parish Council.
Reasons for the decision:
I am satisfied that the requirements of the
Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 have been met
with regard to this application.
I am satisfied that the area is an appropriate area to be
designated as a neighbourhood area and that the statement
explaining why it is appropriate is satisfactory.
The statement explaining that the applicant is the relevant body is
provided and is satisfactory.
A map (attached) identifying the area has been provided.
The application has been consulted on for the minimum period of six
weeks in line with Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning
(General) Regulations 2012. No representations were
received.
Alternative options considered:
I could reject the application if it was not
an appropriate area or did not meet the requirements of the
legislation. These reasons for rejection do not apply in this
case.
