Decision:

To designate the Holymoorside and Walton Neighbourhood Area as a neighbourhood area for the purposes of section 61G (1) of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 as amended which was requested by Holymoorside and Walton Parish Council.

Reasons for the decision:

I am satisfied that the requirements of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012 have been met with regard to this application.

I am satisfied that the area is an appropriate area to be designated as a neighbourhood area and that the statement explaining why it is appropriate is satisfactory.

The statement explaining that the applicant is the relevant body is provided and is satisfactory.

A map (attached) identifying the area has been provided.

The application has been consulted on for the minimum period of six weeks in line with Regulation 5 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. No representations were received.

Alternative options considered:

I could reject the application if it was not an appropriate area or did not meet the requirements of the legislation. These reasons for rejection do not apply in this case.
