Purchase of 12 No Etesia rotary mowers at a
total of £10,350 via direct purchase, funded by way of the
Council's Grounds maintenance revenue budget for replacement of
plant and equipment.
Reasons for the decision:
To meet service delivery needs of the Grounds
Maintenance Service in replacing current operational plant items
that has reached the end of its effective utilisation
period.
Alternative options considered:
Replacement of plant by way of hire/lease was
not considered to offer good value to the Council and reduced
flexibility how they are managed throughout the course of their
anticipated life. Outright purchase is considered the most cost
effective option and provides greater flexibility in how the asset
is managed.
