Decision:

To pay an honorarium to the Assistant Community Safety Officer to reflect the work being undertaken in line with the duties of the Anti-social Behaviour Officer role for a fixed term 3-year period and then review. A salary increase from grade 6 to grade 8 (£26,854.09 to £29,438.93) This will be funded from the existing community safety grant funding.

Reasons for the decision:

Exempt under paragraphs 1, 2 and 3 of Schedule 12A Local Government Act 1972.

Alternative options considered:

Other options for the structure have been explored but these options are the most effective and will enable the Community Safety Team to improve the service it provides at a cost which is affordable.
