Decision:

To make the NEDDC Vehicle Nuisance Public Spaces
Protection Order 2023 for a period of 3 years
commencing 22 September 2023.

Reasons for the decision:

The aim of the Order is to improve the enjoyment of
public spaces for people and reduce anti-social behaviour
caused by vehicle nuisance.

The Order allows for consistency across the district and
with the parish and town councils.

The draft renewal Order has received support from
Statutory Consultees and members of the public.

Alternative options considered:

This will give Police extra powers. Calls for Service to the
Council and the Police show there has been an increase
in the aspect of ASB and the tools and powers already
tried have not reduced the calls.
