To authorise Sheffield City Council to carry out the licensing enforcement function in respect of hackney carriage and private hire vehicles.

To authorise the officers of Sheffield City Council specified in the attached schedule to exercise the licensing powers set out therein in respect of hackney carriage and private hire vehicles.

This authorisation is in respect of the licensing functions exercised in both North East Derfyshire and Bolsover Districts.

To allow officers of Sheffield City Council to effectively carry out various functions, make decisions, serve notices etc where hackney carriage and private hire licensing vehicles which are licensed either by Bolsover District or North East Derbyshire District Council are found to be operating in Sheffield City Council's area.

To not authorise officers of Sheffield City Council to exercise the licensing powers specified in the schedule.

This was not thought to be a satisfactory option as the Councils licensing function in relation to any vehicles which are licensed by the Councils but are operating in Sheffield City Council's area will be more effectively carried out if Sheffield City Council are authorised.
