To make a new Tree Preservation Order on a Woodland made up of trees of various species at Woodland along Marsh Brook between Ashover Road and Hut Lane Ashover

It has been deemed appropriate to replace TPO1 Ashover with individual smaller areas/groups/woodlands and individual TPOs. This is one of the areas deemed appropriate
The trees, by reason of their extensive coverage, size, shape and prominent and visible location, viewable from across and within the Amber valley are considered to significantly contribute to the leafy character and appearance of the area.
There is a perceived threat to the trees in this area due to local approved and potential development applications.

There is one other option and that’s to not make the order but that requires the council ignore the possible risk of losing important trees and this is not considered a suitable alternative.
