To make a new Tree Preservation Order on an area of trees on land to the NW of Narrowleys Lane, SW of Moor Road and NE of Butts

It has been deemed appropriate to replace Interim TPO1 Ashover with individual smaller areas/groups/woodlands and individual TPOs. This is one of the areas deemed appropriate
The trees, by reason of their prominence, size, shape and location are considered to significantly contribute to the leafy character of the area offering amenity due to their prominence in the local and wider landscape.
There is a perceived threat to the trees in this area due to approved and potential planning applications to develop land.

There is one other option and that’s to not make the order but that requires the Council to ignore the possible risk of losing important trees and this is not considered a suitable alternative.
