Following a review of Streetscene Back Office
management and administration arrangements, the positions of
Streetscene Senior Coordinator and Transport Coordinator be
established as set out herein.
This decision does not result in increase or reduction in staff
positions; however, increased salary costs arise from Job
Evaluation which are containable within existing Streetscene budget
frame work.
To strengthen Streetscene management
arrangements.
The position of Transport Clerk & Streetscene Coordinator has
been reviewed to install increased responsibilities to support the
Streetscene & Waste Services Manager.
The review does not propose an increase or reduction in staff
numbers; rather, installs greater responsibility increasing the
grading of two posts and job their titles; namely:
(a) Transport Clerk (G4) to Transport Coordinator (G6).
(b) Streetscene Coordinator (G8) to Snr Streetscene Coordinator
(G11).
Increased salaries are containable within existing Streetscene
budgets and were considered during the revised budget
process.
A do nothing approach is not sustainable and
places the Streetscene & Waste Services Manager under increased
demand following the recycling service being brought
in-house.
The review of these two positions will aid the SWSM delegate
responsibilities to the TC and SSC to provide greater management
support and cover.
