To remove one Senior Technology Officer Post
from the Joint ICT service structure and replace it with a
Technology Officer Post.
A report was sent to full council at each of
the three partners for the Joint ICT Service making some
recommendations to alter the structure of the Joint ICT Service.
This report was approved at each of the three Council’s
(North East Derbyshire District Council, BDC and Derbyshire Dales
District Council).
The report recommended a restructure which consisted of:
The creation of an Assistant director for ICT post
(complete).
The removal of the Service delivery manager post (complete).
The creation of a Technical / Infrastructure Team manager post (in
progress).
To replace one of the Senior Technology Officer’s post with a
Technology Officer’s post.
The recruitment of a Tech Team manager post is currently in
progress.
From the 18th September a Senior Technology Officer Post will be
vacant so this is an opportune time to replace the post with a
Technology Officer Post.
The restructure changes mentioned above have already been accounted
for in the Joint ICT Service budgets.
Keep the post as is, this would incur
additional budget and the need to maintain four Senior Roles will
be reduced with the introduction of a technical team
Manager.
