The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulation 5 and 10 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 that a report containing exempt information will be considered by Cabinet, at its meeting on Thursday 8 July 2021. Notification of this exempt Key Decision was not published on the Council’s website 28 clear days before it was due to be considered by Cabinet, as is required by these regulations.

Purpose of the Report

To financially support through commuted sums a mixed tenure development at Holmewood, including a supported living scheme for people with learning disabilities.

Compliance with the requirement to give 28 clear days’ notice in accordance with the above Regulation is impracticable as the matter is urgent and cannot reasonably be deferred.

Reason for urgency: To enable the Council to spend commuted sums from various developments, specifically to support the delivery of social housing and to facilitate specialist accommodation and shared ownership units. The use of these sums is time limited and if not used they would be lost.

This report is exempt and it is proposed that it be considered in private to avoid the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to information) (Variation) Order 2006).

The Chair of the Growth Scrutiny Committee has been informed of the Key Decision to be taken in respect of the exempt report and has consented to consideration of the report being held in private at the above meeting of Cabinet.
