The Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012

 

 

Notice is hereby given in accordance with Regulations 5 and 10 of the Local Authorities (Executive Arrangements) (Meetings and Access to Information) (England) Regulations 2012 that the following Key Decision is to be made in private at the above Meeting of Cabinet. Notification of this Key Decision was not published on the Council’s website 28 clear days before it was due to be considered by Cabinet, as is required by these regulations.

 

Report of Councillor J Kenyon, Portfolio Holder for Leisure, Transformation and Climate Change

                                                                                                                                          

Proposed Decision:

 

(1)  To approve further investment at Eckington Pool, funded through the Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) Grant.

(2)  To approve acceptance of this grant funding under, Section 31 of the Local Government Act.

(3)  To delegate powers to the Head for Transformation and Organisation, in consultation with Portfolio Holder for Transformation & Climate Change, to enter the relevant agreements/contracts required for the effective delivery of the project.

Reason for urgency:

 

The Council has successfully applied for grant funding from the Government’s Public Sector Decarbonisation Scheme (PSDS) for improvements at Eckington swimming pool. As part of the payment process, the Council has been asked to confirm before 20 February 2021 that it would be prepared to accept this grant funding.

 

This report is exempt and it is proposed that it be considered in private to avoid the disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraphs 3 and 4 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act 1972 (as amended by the Local Government (Access to information)(Variation) Order 2006).

 

The Chair of the Growth Scrutiny Committee has been informed of the key decision to be taken in respect of the exempt report and has consented to consideration of the report being held in private at the above meeting of Cabinet.
