Decision Maker: Assistant Director of Streetscene

Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Is subject to call in?: No

Decision:

Purchase 1 No Ford Transit Custom 310 L2 H1 panel van, 2.0L Front Wheel Drive 130 ps Base model, Frozen white complete with dog warden conversion and fitments at £26,776.42 plus 12 month VED (£230) and first (£55) registration fee.

Funded via the Council's approved capital replacement program.

Reasons for the decision:

The vehicle has fallen due for replacement with budget having been prior included in the Council's capital budget.

Vehicles within the light commercial fleet are procured by way of the Nottinghamshire Consortium Procurement Partnership (North East Derbyshire District Council is named partner) Contract for the provision of Cars, Light Commercial Vehicles up to 3,500kg GVW and Minibuses Ref: 2015/5087-157149 which was awarded to Perry's (formerly GK Group) on 2 May 2015.

Alternative options considered:

The replacement of vehicles by way of finance lease arrangements was not considered to offer good value to the Council and reduces the scope for flexibility concerning how vehicles are managed throughout the course of their anticipated life; in particular, where vehicles may require releasing from the leasing agreement prior to their natural end date.
